It’s skiing... We keep it simple.

We never forget that you are on holiday and are here to enjoy the mountain experience. It is our aim to help maximise your enjoyment as well as your learning.

Skiing is a sport that requires freedom to move so we can balance and adjust as we ski. This is because the nature of the mountain terrain and snow is always changing.  We need to make adjustments to cope with these changes so we can control our speed and line effectively. 

We believe you will learn something much better if you understand why and how it works. This is why we also develop your knowledge of how skis work. Your ability to effectively influence your skis, turn shape, speed and line is an important factor. This will depend on your understanding of how your skis work against the snow as well as other skills.

People learn much better by their own experiences than by the experiences of others. We  us a series of innovative tasks and exercises that are strategically designed to make you discover new and more positive skiing. 

All skiers can improve. Even the best skiers in the world have coaching. We are continually striving to improve our own skiing and knowledge of the sport and mountain environment so that we stay at the forefront of modern ski teaching.

Mark Gear

Arno Adam

Mark made Chamonix his home in 1997 to become the first British qualified instructor to work for a Chamonix ski school.  He is now one of the few holders of the highly regarded French equivalence and is one of the UK’s leading ski instructors. He has also competed in International FIS ski racing and now trains ski instructors to pass their exams. Mark founded All Mountain Performance in 2004 to offer skiers a fresh  approach to  modern ski tuition, specialising in  all terrain performance courses. His fun and innovative ski teaching philosophies have earned him a  renowned reputation for excellent results.

Arno grew up in Chamonix mastering skiing at a young age. His infectious enthusiasm for the sport has taken him all over the world to ski and compete in freeride competitions. He is now a skiing legend and local Chamonix hero after winning the World freeride skiing champs in Alaska 1998. Dynastar skis even made a freeride ski called the Arno Adam designed by the man himself. Arno is a demonstration skier for AMP on our Freeride frenzie courses.

Audrey Gannac

Claire Summers

Audrey grew up in the mountains and discovered her passion for skiing at 4 years old. After spending years competing, she realizes that what she likes the most about skiing is sharing her passion with others. Teaching in Chamonix for 9 years now, Audrey will be delighted to take you to those secret corners of the Valley.

Having learnt to ski in Scotland, Claire came to the Alps during a gap year after having studied Law and French at University. It was not long before she decided to pursue skiing seriously and now holds her French Equivalence and competes in Freeride compeitions in Europe.  Having taught in Val d’Isere and Courcheval, Claire moved to the Chamonix valley 3 years ago and her home is now St Gervais Les Bains. Her passion for skiing comes out in her sessions and although she is more than happy tearing down the mountain, she is also particularly patient with the less confident members in a group
